Fresh off a flight from New York, Dan travelled out to Katlehong, south of Johannesburg, with recently retired Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, to host the official announcement of the football star as an official ambassador of the Laureus Sport For Good Foundation.

Giggs joined children at the Laureus-supported Sport For Good project, and took part in a number of games and coaching sessions, interacting with the local children and getting a feel for one of the many projects that Laureus supports in South Africa.

Dan then hosted a question and answer session with Giggs, where the Manchester United great explained his motivation for supporting Laureus, and the importance of giving back after all that he has got out of football over the year.

The new Laureus ambassador then received his certificate from Dan, who has also worked with Laureus on events with the Springboks, Alain Prost, Christoph Sauser and John Smit in the last year, and is a keen supporter of a foundation that does terrific work through sport around the world.
